Elise Frost, BFA, MFA, LMT
is a performing artist, movement researcher, educator and bodyworker holding an MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BFA in Dance Performance and Composition from the University of Florida.
Alongside her dance education she has continuously sought out, experienced and learned about several somatic methods that have laid the foundation for her movement research and love of bodywork.
For 5 years, Elise was employed as an instructor of dance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and began developing movement curriculum geared toward consent and accessibility of movement with diverse populations.
Elise braids these diverse experiences of physical practice in order to continue to better understand and develop methods and infrastructures of human connection, movement and ecological stewardship. Her primary focus is on how movement systems, wholehearted engagement, and critical thinking can facilitate community and increase quality of life.
She is thrilled to be working with Chārutā at Self-Transformations and finds it a great privilege to continue to learn and share her passion for the body with her clients. She specializes in mindful, therapeutic massage using a variety of different techniques.
